GENERAL INFORMATION
Fuel costs are not included in our prices and are increased by €10 excluding VAT. Maintenance costs, oil, etc. shall be reimbursed upon presentation of receipts. The Autolux office must be notified of any accidents within 24 hours.
The minimum rental period is 1 day (24 hours). Any unpaid parking tickets shall be re-invoiced as management fees.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
You must have had your driving licence for at least one year and you must have an identity card or a valid passport. (If the licence has been held for under two years, the lessee will have to pay an additional excess of 4% of the value of the vehicle as new). A 2nd driver can be added at €2 excluding VAT / day. Minimum age: 21 for categories A-C and 23 having held a driving licence for over 2 years for the other categories.
PAYMENT
A deposit must be paid at the beginning of the rental for the approximate amount of the rental charges. The following credit cards only are accepted as a deposit: American Express, Diners Club, Eurocard and Visa. For categories G-M, two different credit cards are required.
INSURANCE
Our price includes third party and legal assistance insurance. In the event of material damage (including vandalism and wildlife accidents), glass breakage and vehicle theft, an excess per damage which varies depending on the category, shall be withheld. This excess may be waived with a surcharge. Glass breakage insurance is also offered from €8 per day of rental according to the vehicle category.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES
Our vehicles are fitted with winter tyres throughout the winter season, from 1st October to 31 March (surcharge applied according to the different categories). Ask our agency about our deliver and collect service.
DRIVING ABROAD
Hired vehicles can travel freely in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Holland, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. All travel outside these limits is strictly prohibited and the lessee shall be held liable in the event of theft, breakdown or accident occurring anywhere else other than in these countries up to the total value of the vehicle.
